Living
in a different culture to the one I grew up in has been one of the
most rewarding times of my life. I have lived in London for fifteen
years after moving here from Tokyo with my job in 1990.
I was a serious tennis player in
junior high school, high school and university and loved
skiing - trying to ski most winters although that has not been as regular
since I came to London! About 10 years ago, I decided to take up golf.
Its been a struggle but I love it and am pleased that my game is improving
- at last.
For
the past twenty years, I have worked in the financial markets of
Tokyo and London. The stress of that lifestyle meant I felt stiff continually
and even thought it was part of the job. I had tried massage and
found
it helped. I started
personal training sessions with Martin about eight years ago. Through
our sessions I became interested, even fascinated, in
the fact that the human body can change and improve at any age. This
awareness and interest in the human body developed steadily until in
2003, I decided to do something about it and booked myself onto several
courses in this country and in Thailand.
Although
at times its been difficult to study and work full time, the pleasure
and rewards I get from working with my clients and seeing them improve
has made the training seem very worthwhile.
I am qualified with the International
Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) and a member of the Complementary Therapists' Association.
