Thai Yoga Massage Practitioners Course

Course Overview
You will gain an overview of the origins and development of Thai Yoga Massage, an understanding of the theory of the ‘Sen’ Lines and an awareness of the application of Thai Yoga Massage in treating numerous conditions. 

This course uses both Northern and Southern Styles of Thai Yoga Massage enabling the student to eventually give a comprehensive 2 ½ hour Traditional Thai Yoga Massage.

The emphasis is on the practical with easy to follow demonstrations of Thai Yoga Massage techniques and skills and course sequences.

To enable the fullest possible understanding of Thai Massage, students both give and receive Thai Yoga Massages.

The course includes a comprehensive manual containing easy to follow guides to Thai Yoga Massage sequences taught on the course, guidance on safe practice for the therapist and their clients, relevant anatomy and physiology, an overview of the history and development of the principles of Thai Yoga Massage and information on assessment procedures.

Two days of the course will be spent working on live case studies enabling students to understand the development of client treatments.

Throughout the course, students will be provided with time for questions and discussion.

Course Entry Requirements and Prerequisites
This course is suitable for qualified therapists, osteopaths, physiotherapists and other bodywork professionals with a minimum of 55 hours study of Anatomy and Physiology at ITEC, NVQ level 3 or an equivalent qualification. Copies of certification will need to be viewed prior to course date.

Course Duration
This is a 12 day extended learning course over four months consisting of 84 hours study. The course is run in two blocks of six consecutive days and an optional weekend revision course. There will be a further day for the multiple choice paper and the practical examination.
