For many of us eating has become a less concious act. We eat as we walk, at our desks or watching television. We have lost the connection between our mind and body about why we are actually eating. If you don't believe this, ask yourself when was the last time you actually thought about the act of eating and why you are eating at that time and, more importantly, what you are actually feeding?
Whenever we eat, we are feeding a particular need within our bodies. These needs are physical, intellectual, emotional or spiritual and the simplest ways to avoid overeating and follow a healthy diet is to regain an awareness of when and why we are eating.
We follow two main pathways with our nutritional advice - Taoism and Ayurvedic. Both philosophies are based on opting for locally grown seasonal produce whenever possible and by eating a varied diet with lots of whole grains, seeds, nuts and fruit and vegetables you get everything you need for a healthy body and mind. After all, we are a part of the natural world and have evolved to eat the foods that grow around us. Everything we need is readily available to us without the need to rely on man-made additives and chemicals.
The pathway you decide to follow will be discussed at your consultation with us
