With
dreadful experiences of P.E. during my schooldays,
I am dedicated to changing peoples' past experiences and perceptions of health, fitness and well being - believing
that it is no longer about blood sweat and tears and that by working
at the correct level in activities you enjoy, fitness can be fun and
extremely rewarding.
I believe that the physical, emotional and intellectual are important elements of everyone and that a successful exercise, well being and therapy programme needs to take account of all of them. Consequently, I integrated my knowledge and skills as a Personal Trainer, Life Coach and Therapist to develop the Living fitness and Working fitness concepts .
My
skills as an educator and presenter have lead me to develop a series of courses for Thai Yoga Masssage together with lecturing and
presenting
courses for a number
of organisations including
health and fitness professionals, corporations, two
national health club chains, two NHS Trusts and
even
the Women's Institute
In
recent years, I have explored the field of journalism and written articles
in Sportex
Medicine, for companies on the internet and several national
newspapers and magazines as well as venturing into radio as the Personal Fitness
Expert on BBC's
Radio Kent 'Ask the Expert's slot and regular appearances on BBC Radio London's Late Show. I also write a regular
column in the British Heart Foundation's bi magazine 'Heart
Health'.
